There have been special events throughout the summer to mark the occasion, including a full-scale fleet review, just off the coast of Portsmouth in June. And, there will be some 6,000 more events around the country this weekend, beginning with a special wreath-laying ceremony at St Paul's Cathedral to commemorate those who died.
