The film Billy Elliot was a huge success in 2000 telling the story of a boy from a gritty northern town who was determined to be a dancer. And now the film is to be made into a West End stage show which will feature music by Elton John.
Director Stephen Daldry is looking to cast the lead character Billy and his best friend Michael.

"Because of child labour laws, we actually need three Billies - and they will need replacing every six months," he explained. "So the audition process is like painting the Forth Bridge."
Young hopefuls need to be male, aged between 11 and 14, and able to sing, dance and act.
Music for the new stage version of Billy Elliot has been written by Elton John. The production is expecte to open this Autumn.

You must bring: A recent photo, plenty to drink and lots of energy! Come ready to dance then, if lucky, sing. You do not have to prepare anything as the production team will teach you all you need.
