Comedy writer and broadcaster Clive James is best known for his TV appearances in the eighties and early nineties and shows such as Saturday Night Clive.

He is also a prolific novelist. But less well-known is his career as a song-writer, with six albums to his name

The albums - co-written with a friend, Pete Atkin, over the last three decades - were received with critical acclaim, but never quite took off.

But now, the duo are show-casing their work with a special 30-date national tour.

Clive James joined us live on Breakfast this morning, to explain why he's given up TV for live theatre. He ended up serenading our presenter, Natasha Kaplinsky
