Military developments

To make sense of it all, we enlisted the help of Air Marshal Sir Timothy Garden, who's a former Assistant Chief of Air Staff.

"We are now into set piece battles where the advantage to the coalition is such that our superior air power means we will win the battle," he told us.

The waiting game

Not all the British troops in the Gulf have seen military action yet.

For some, the war is unfolding on TV, just as it does for us at home.

Iraqis in exile

The 200,000 Iraqis living in Britain, are following the progress of the war minute by minute. Many have fled Saddam Hussein's regime, but they still have family and friends in Baghdad and beyond.
