Missing Persons: Help and advice
Every year there are around 210,000 incidents of missing people reported in the UK. About half of these are teenagers.

Most people return home within a few days, but thousands do not.

The National Missing Persons Helpline is the UK's only charity dedicated to finding missing people and supporting those left behind.

The charity helps to find all types of missing people from "lost contact" cases to vulnerable people of all ages.

Additional services include the Runaway Helpline, Message Home Helpline, ID and reconstruction and a team dedicated to "looked after" children.

All calls to the charity's Helplines are Freefone and confidential.

NATIONAL MISSING PERSONS HELPLINE

The main helpline is for sightings of missing people and to report someone missing

Trained staff offer advice and support for families of missing people and, once registered, actively look for missing people.
