Israel is facing some of its "toughest challenges" in her history, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has told a pro-Israel lobby group.
During her speech, Mrs Clinton said she urged Israel to make "difficult, but necessary choices" if it wants a peace agreement with the Palestinians, and that the the status quo was "unsustainable".
Her comments come amid a dispute between the US and Israel over plans for 1,600 new homes in East Jerusalem.
