Iranian police have used water cannon, batons and tear gas to disperse protests over the presidential election, witnesses in Tehran say.
Defeated candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi has repeated calls for the election to be annulled and there have also been reports of a bombing at the shrine of Ayatollah Khomeini.
Restrictions have now been placed on the BBC and other foreign news organisations in Iran. Reporters are not allowed to cover unauthorised gatherings or move around freely, but there are no controls over what they can say. Jon Leyne reports from Tehran.
