Barack Obama has arrived in Cairo for a critical moment in his bid to reach out to the world's Muslims.
The US President is holding talks with his Egyptian counterpart, Hosni Mubarak, and is due to deliver an address at Cairo University, where his message will be that the United States will no longer impose its will, but seek instead a two-way dialogue.
