UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has spoken of the 'unacceptable attack' on a UN compound in Gaza.
Speaking outside the smouldering remains of a UN food warehouse destroyed by Israeli shells, Mr Ban said he was 'appalled' after seeing the destruction for himself.
Mr Ban is the first international leader to visit Gaza for several years, entering through the Israeli-controlled Erez crossing and then driving through the bomb-damaged northern suburbs to Gaza City.
