UN calls for Gaza ceasefire

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon has called for an immediate halt to fighting in the Gaza Strip.

Addressing the security council, he condemned both the Israeli air strikes and the Hamas rocket attacks.

Israel says it has agreed to set up a humanitarian corridor to allow aid into the Gaza Strip.
