At least 18 people have died in Yemen when a block of flats was destroyed in a blast apparently caused by a fire in an explosives store. Rescuers searched for survivors in the rubble of the building in Hababa, Omran province about 60km (40 miles) north of the capital Sanaa.
The explosives belonged to a weapons dealer, police said, and were probably intended for mining purposes.
Home-made explosives and illegal arms are widely available in Yemen.
