More clashes in south Lebanon

News image

There's been more fighting in southern Lebanon between Israeli forces and Hezbollah guerrillas.

The guerrillas fired rockets and mortars at several positions in the Israeli-occupied zone, while the Israelis shelled Hezbollah positions to the north.

The Israelis say one of their military outposts in the western sector of the zone was damaged.

There are no reports of casualties.

Hezbollah said its attacks were in response to a series of Israeli air raids.

Fighting between the two sides has been heavier than usual during the last week.
