| | Tuesday, 18 June, 2002, 15:04 GMT 16:04 UK In pictures: Jerusalem blast A Palestinian suicide bomber blows himself up on a packed bus in Jerusalem, killing or wounding dozens of Israelis, many of them schoolchildren.  The bus had been travelling into Jerusalem when the bomb blew it across the road.  It was the worst such attack since the passover massacre in Netanya on 27 March  The bomb was packed with metal fragments which wreaked carnage among the passengers.  Witnesses say the bomber got on the bus near the Arab district of Beit Safafa.  It was the deadliest attack in Jerusalem since the intifada began.  The Israeli prime minister said his country would continue to fight "Palestinian terrorism".  The attack comes as Israel presses ahead with work to wall off the West Bank against future attackers. | |
