Russia has united with Poland in mourning the death of Polish President Lech Kaczynski and the 95 other victims of Saturday's plane crash in Smolensk.
Russia held an official day of mourning on Monday during which President Dmitry Medvedev signed a book of condolences and laid a wreath at the Polish Embassy in Moscow.
Grieving relatives have been arriving in Moscow, where officials will try to help them identify their loved ones.
In Warsaw, there has been an outpouring of national grief as Poles struggle to come to terms with the loss of so many of their government and military leaders.
The area in front of President Kaczynski's palace in central Warsaw is covered with flowers and thousands of small glass pots containing candles laid as a mark of respect.
Poland is observing a week of official mourning.
In the Polish parliament, flowers were also laid at the seats usually occupied by some of those who lost their lives in the weekend tragedy.
Investigations at the crash scene are ongoing. Initial Russian findings suggest there was no technical fault with the plane, pointing instead to pilot error.
