The Marine Conservation Society has found that litter on the UK's beaches has increased by 110% since 1994. You have been sending us pictures of dirty beaches. Photo: Ian Hoskin. Ian Hoskin took these pictures at a beach at Merthyr Mawr Warren National Nature Reserve, which he says was littered with rubbish. He said he didn't set up the two stuffed animals. This is Bullslaughter Bay in the South Pembrokeshire Coast. Adrian Owens found this litter sculpture not far from St Govan's Head. Alec S. Cockle found this scene last year at the south coast of the Isle of Wight. He says the litter must have come from offshore as it's not a popular beach. The Marine Conservation Society says bit of plastic are the most frequently found items by volunteers who help clean the beaches. This is another picture of the Isle of Wight taken by Alec S. Cockle. Rod and Neil make the most of the beach litter. They use whatever they find that washes up from the sea in Lilstock, Somerset, to construct a hut.
