The Kent Downs stretch from the White Cliffs of Dover to the London/Surrey borders. There are two heritage coasts in Kent, both of which are in the Kent Downs AONB. The Kent Downs are home to the Lady orchid, rarely found anywhere else in the UK. The Devil's Kneading Trough in the Wye Downs is a steep-sided dry valley. Hollingbourne Vale offers extensive views from Boxley to Westwell. Footpath and kissing gate leading down to St Margaret's Bay, near Dover. The Kent Downs offer remote and tranquil landscapes away from the beaten track. Magpie Bottom, at Otford, is a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Visitors to the Kent Downs say its most valued feature is the scenery.
