In pictures: Jaipur blasts aftermath

A curfew has been imposed in the old city in Jaipur in western India after a series of bomb blasts killed 63 and left about 200 wounded.

The bombs went off near historic monuments in the Rajasthani capital, such as the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds).

After the curfew, people stayed indoors. The old city was deserted apart from journalists and policemen.

Devotees returned to pray at one temple which had been targeted in the bombings, but left when police cordoned off the old city.

Firemen hosed down blood stains at the blasts sites. Eight bombs went off in the heart of Jaipur in the space of 20 minutes. It is not clear who is behind the attack.

Meanwhile, funerals for those who were killed have begun. The blasts happened in areas where both Hindus and Muslims live.

Here, a man who survived mourns his father. Authorities fear the death toll may rise as many injured are in a critical condition.

There have been heart-rending scenes as relatives grieve outside crematoriums in the city where funerals have taken place.

At one blast site, brightly coloured glass bangles, some broken, others intact, and shoes abandoned by victims still lie on the road.
