People in the southern US state of Mississippi have voted in primary elections in the latest contest in the race for the White House. With John McCain now certain to win the Republican nomination, attention focused on the tight Democratic race between Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. With most of the votes counted, Mr Obama has beaten Mrs Clinton with a 60% share of the vote. With Mississippi only having a small influence on who will get the Democratic nomination, Mrs Clinton travelled to Pennsylvania, considered the rivals' next major battleground. Her daughter, Chelsea, was left to campaign in Mississippi. Mr Obama also travelled on to Pennsylvania, where he addressed manufacturing workers. Meanwhile, Mr McCain has been on a nationwide drive to raise funds for his campaign.
