The Queen visited Swansea with the Duke of Edinburgh on Friday The royal couple were greeted at the station by dozens of children with disabilities, one of whom handed her a daffodil bouquet. The royal party are also attending a reception and lunch as guests of West Glamorgan County Council in The Guildhall. The Queen opened the original LC Sports Centre in 1977. She was given a tour of its state-of-art equipment. The Royal party viewed the centre's surf wave machine, which helps surfers to train, and met the architects who designed the building. After unveiling a plaque to mark the reopening of the centre, the Queen went on a walkabout.
