Voters went to the polls in four states and one territory to take part in presidential nomination contests. One voter in a Kansas Republican caucus queue was clearly backing the winner. But victory in Kansas will not be enough to save Mike Huckabee, trailing badly behind John McCain in the Republican race. In Nebraska, people were keen for their votes to be counted in the state's Democratic presidential caucus. Across the state, thousands of people excitedly crowded into school gyms standing in groups to be counted after registration cards were dished out. But some young participants in the Nebraska caucus found the whole thing quite dull... Hillary Clinton supporters looked on as delegates were nominated in Seattle. But their champion was looking ahead to Sunday's contest in Maine, addressing a rally in the state. Barack Obama, meanwhile, worked hard for the youth vote in the same state.
