Thousands of students are making their own news through BBC News School Report. This gallery provides a snap-shot of news-making activities in schools around the UK. Beth, Maisie and Wilson from William Howard School in Cumbria had a go at being TV reporters, interviewing celebrity chef Aldo Zilli. Television presenter Toby Anstis was interviewed by students from Desborough School in Maidenhead. School Reporters from Our Lady's High School in Manchester visited BBC Manchester and learned all about the skills needed for successful radio. School Reporters from Hope High School, The Swinton High School and Salford Academy spent their practice News Day at Radio Manchester with BBC Mentor, Sarah Collins. School Reporters from South Chadderton School made good use of the technology available at Oldham City Learning Centre during their practice News Day. School Reporters Josh, Conor, Lisa and Lexi from St Bernard's Catholic Grammar School in Slough, Berkshire interviewed Tessa Jowell at the cabinet office on February 26. The Minister for the Olympics and London was also interviewed by students from Strangford Integrated College in Carrowdore via a live link between BBC Belfast and Millbank. School Reporters from Burntwood School in Tooting, London put their pens to paper during their School Report practice News Day. Guildford County School in Surrey practice finding, gathering, writing, assembling, ordering and broadcasting the news ahead of the UK-wide News Day on 13 March.
