Members of the Royal Family have visited Uganda for the Commonwealth heads of government meeting in Kampala, the nation's capital. The Queen presided over the summit.

Prince Charles showed off his football skills at The Kids League, a sports group in Kampala. His three-day tour marked his first trip to an overseas Commonwealth heads meeting.

The Prince also took the time to visit Kawempe, a poor area of Kampala, and speak to those who live there. People lined the streets to shake his hand.

Prince Charles also took a moment to admire a painting of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, while on a visit to the People's Space at the Africana Hotel, in the capital.

Children at Kitante Primary School in Kampala waved British and Ugandan flags as they waited for the Queen to arrive on the last day of her four-day tour.

The Queen was welcomed to the sound of drumming and singing while other schoolchildren performed a traditional dance.

The Queen also watched children make crafts and play musical instruments at the school before being presented with traditional gifts.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall took a ride on the river Nile from Jinja, on the banks of Lake Victoria. During the crossing, the prince pointed out areas of interest.

The Queen and Prince Philip left Uganda to return to the UK on Saturday, while Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were to attend a state banquet in the evening.
