Ray Gravell died suddenly in Spain after careers in rugby, broadcasting and acting. He was 56 and leaves a wife Mari, and daughters Manon and Gwenan.

The coffin was carried in by members past and present of the Llanelli team where Gravell spent all his playing days.

Thousands of mourners paid their last respects to a man who had such a wide influence on Welsh life.

At the end of the public service the coffin was carried from Stradey Park to applause from the thousands gathered there.
