Behind-the-scenes moments with mod-rock band The Jam are captured in The Jam Unseen, a collection of images by freelance photographer Twink.

An exhibition to accompany the book takes place between 6-20 October at the Movie Poster Art Gallery in London.

"There's still people who want to hear the music and we still enjoy playing it," says drummer Rick Buckler, who is about to go on tour again with bass player Bruce Foxton.

Singer Paul Weller is not taking part in the tour and says he has "no comment" to make on Foxton and Buckler's Jam plans. But he does describe Twink's book as "excellent".

"If he [Weller] wants to get involved, great, but I'm not going to hold my breath. He's a great solo artist but the door's always open," says Foxton.

Weller has previously said that he's against bands reforming and is concentrating on his solo work.

The Jam were well known for their "sharp image", as Buckler describes it, alongside hits such as Going Underground and A Town Called Malice.

The Jam sold over 14 million albums worldwide before their 1982 split. Weller (left) is now a successful solo artist. Interviews by the BBC's David Brown.
