Tim Burton was one of the star guests on the eighth day of Venice Film Festival, where he received a lifetime achievement prize for movies like Edward Scissorhands. Richard Gere, who stars in Bob Dylan biopic I'm Not There, has also been at the festival. Charlotte Gainsbourg also stars in the Dylan movie, directed by Todd Haynes. Lost In Translation star Bill Murray arrived in Venice to promote The Darjeeling Limited, which also stars Adrien Brody. Woody Allen arrived in Venice on day five with wife Soon-Yi for the premiere of his film Cassandra's Dream. Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor also attended the premiere. The actors play brothers in the film who become love rivals. Day five of the festival also saw the premiere of The Assassination of Jesse James. Sam Shepard, seen arriving here, stars in the Western alongside Brad Pitt. Angelina Jolie showed off her array of distinctive tattoos when she arrived at the festival alongside partner Brad Pitt. On Saturday actress Charlize Theron met fans before the premiere of In the Valley Of Elah, in which she plays a police detective. Last week actress Keira Knightley arrived for the opening of the 64th festival where the premiere of her latest film Atonement was shown. Actress Vanessa Redgrave, pictured here with daughter Joely Richardson and granddaughter Daisy Bevan, also stars in the British film, based on the best-selling novel by Ian McEwan.
