The lorry was travelling from Saron to Tycroes on Cwmferrws Road in Carmarthenshire when it became trapped between a hedge and a garden wall. The lorry driver, believed to be from Poland, attempted to reverse but without success. A heavy duty rescue vehicle was called to tow it free but the operation took the best part of an hour. People living near the tight bend said it was the third such incident in a matter of a few months. They are now calling for more prominent road signs warning large vehicles the road is unsuitable. Fortunately the damage caused to the vehicle and the roadside appeared to be minimal and the driver was able to resume his journey on a different route.
