Millions of litres of bottled water are needed in Gloucestershire after more than 350,000 people were left without supplies. Army units from across the UK are tasked with providing water, after criticism not enough was getting through. The Army is using Cheltenham racecourse as a base to send supplies of water to residents. The Army has deployed trucks designed for use in battlefields to help distribute millions of bottles. Severn Trent Water had sent three million litres of water to 600 public bowsers around Gloucestershire. Water bottles have been given out for free, but there is rationing to avoid stockpiling.
