Hamas militants storm the office of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, from Fatah, in Gaza City. At least 100 people have died in Gaza in a week of factional clashes. The militants attacked the compound, tearing down pictures of former Palestinian leader and Fatah founder Yasser Arafat (L) and Mr Abbas. One of the militants took his place in the seat of the Palestinian Authority's power in Gaza. The militants pause for a quick drink in a bedroom of Mr Abbas's compound. Others take a seat as they guard phones in the compound. Hamas has refused to recognise a state of emergency imposed by Mr Abbas. The West Bank and Gaza Strip will now effectively be split from one another - with Gaza run by Hamas and the West Bank by Fatah, correspondents say.
