It has been Bollywood week in Yorkshire, with people in the county being encouraged to try all things Indian, including free Bollywood dancing lessons on the street. "It's been an amazing time," said Sheffield-based Bollywood dance instructor Nisha Lall. "People have really taken to the free dancing lessons I have given them." "We are members of a nearby dance club," said Jude Brown, "and it's been wonderful to learn Bollywood steps on the street with such a wide cross-section of people." "I tried a spot of dancing for a laugh," said 22-year-old student Michael Boyd. "It's the first time I have tried it and it has been brilliant - the moves are quite easy." "Bollywood culture seems to have a growing international appeal," said American Saalikah Muchnick. "You don't have to be extrovert to do it and it's great fun." "I thought I would be a little old for this sort of thing, but it's such a social and friendly form of dancing it's difficult not to get sucked in," said Lyn Holyoake. "I saw people dancing on the streets and thought I would give it a go," said this Bollywood dancing convert. "I am glad I did because it's amazing."
