Readers sent their pictures of the heavy snow across many northern US states. Mike Listwan sent his picture of his house after a snow and ice storm in Cincinnati, Ohio. Anne Bargar sent this picture of her street in Urbana, Illinois. "We're lucky, we're getting snow instead of ice," she said. Oswego County, New York, resident Mike Kieloch was able to see the lighter side, despite 7ft falling there. Mike Kieloch: "My friends and I, volunteer members of the Civil Air Patrol, offered to help clear fire hydrants to ensure emergency access to the water supply." Mike Kieloch: "The Civil Air Patrol's command post at the Oswego County Airport was buried in snow." Sadaqat Khan sent this picture of his house in Watertown, New York.
