The UK and Pakistan have vowed to join forces in the fight against terror, following a meeting between Prime Minister Tony Blair and President Pervez Musharraf. On his third trip to Pakistan, Mr Blair also met his Pakistani counterpart, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz. Returning to the country's capital, Islamabad, Mr Blair visited the Faisal Mosque before talks with Islamic religious leaders. Mr Blair had to remove his shoes before entering the building. Mr Blair said the UK would double its aid to Pakistan, primarily to help reform Islamic religious schools, or madrassas, of which some have been accused of encouraging extremism.
