Hollywood actors Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have married in an Italian castle north of Rome. Fireworks lit up the 15th Century Odescalchi castle following the evening ceremony. Katie Holmes arrived in the rain, carrying her daughter and with her mother in tow. Photographers lined up outside the castle, hoping to catch a glimpse of the couple and guests. About 150 relatives and friends gathered for the vows, Cruise's publicist said. Roberta Armani, whose uncle Giorgio designed the gown worn by Holmes and Cruise's tuxedo, was the first to arrive. Holmes was spotted looking out from a window before the ceremony, which was celebrated by a Scientology minister. Cruise waved to onlookers as he was driven through the town of Bracciano to join his 27-year-old bride. Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith were among the many stars invited to Italy for the event. Brooke Shields, who had a public spat with Cruise last year over her use of anti-depressants, arrived with her husband. But Victoria Beckham was without footballer husband David after he was ordered back to Spain for a Real Madrid match.
