The cream of the UK's comedy talent, including Omid Djalili, took part in the revived Secret Policeman's Ball at the Royal Albert Hall in London on Saturday. Al Murray (left) helped fans toast the return of the event, which raises funds for Amnesty International. The Mighty Boosh's Noel Fielding (left) and Julian Barratt were among the performers at the first Secret Policeman's Ball since 1989. Graham Norton donned a smoking jacket to perform on the Royal Albert Hall stage. Comedian and TV presenter Russell Brand brought his energetic style to the show. Eddie Izzard addressed the press backstage. The first Secret Policeman's Ball was held in 1979. US performer Chevy Chase joined the largely home-grown line-up. The event launched Amnesty's fund-raising Protect The Human week. There was also music too, with Romeo Stodart leading The Magic Numbers on stage. Other performers included The Zutons and Natalie Imbruglia.
