An explosion rocks the southern Turkish resort of Antalya, killing three people and wounding at least a dozen others.

The blast occurred in a busy shopping area in the centre of the city during the late afternoon.

Nearby shops and restaurants were badly damaged, sending glass and shrapnel flying into passers-by.

Many of the wounded were treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital.

This is the fifth blast to hit Turkey in less than 24 hours.

Three bombs went off in another popular southern resort, Marmaris, injuring at least 21.

Ten Britons and 11 Turks were injured when a minibus ferrying people along a main street exploded.

Meanwhile, in Istanbul, six Turks were injured when a roadside bomb went off in the Bagcilar neighbourhood.

Suspicion for the resort blasts has fallen on Kurdish separatists who have repeatedly threatened to target Turkey's vital tourist industry.
