Dignitaries and athletes from the London 2012 Games organising team pulled up in a double-decker bus. They were given a huge welcome from children waving a variety of flags. A team of top athletes showed their support for the forthcoming Games. Former Olympic Champion Lynn Davies recalled the "incredible experience" of competing. Children from across Cardiff took part in a range of sporting activities including boccia. And 'launchpad', gave youngsters a taste of throwing the javelin. Paralympian Caroline Matthews said she was looking forward to the 2012 Games. She showcased wheelchair basketball with her team, the Cardiff Bay Tigers.
