Maria Telemachos, 25, was one of the first to see the World Trade Center film. "I was kind of sceptical," she said, "but I really enjoyed the film. It was done very tastefully."

Lydia Espinoza: "I thought it showed us a different side to what happened. Yes, it was tragic, but it showed us a positive side and a very heroic one."

Mark Pollard, 42: "I don't think Hollywood should be making a profit out of it so soon afterwards. I think a lot of people in this city will opt out of seeing it."

Susan Mastondrea, 63: "I think every American should see this film. It wasn't a typical Oliver Stone movie. He told the story really well."

Robert Liiv, 56: "I was moved even though I didn't think it was going to be. I saw the buildings go down and I thought Oliver Stone did a good job. I was impressed."

Kim Carey, 33: "I find the concept of the film a little offensive because it was very traumatic for me and for New York. I lived it so I probably won't go and see it."

Nikita Bailey, 21: "Maybe they should have waited a little longer to bring the film out. It's just so sad, but it's reality and we can't act like September 11 didn't happen."
