Demand developed this frame for disabled children who wanted a vertical skiing experience. The skis are tilted by using hand levers and the frame steered by body weight.

Despite the best endeavours of those around her, Jenny - who has Retts Syndrome - badly needed a seating solution so that she was upright and comfortable.

Demand made a fully adjustable chair that would grow with her. "These two photos clearly illustrate what we can do," said Demand's Alan Stokes.

The charity says it has become a victim of its own success with its boccia ramps. When people saw them, they wanted one. Boccia is a form of bowls played by wheelchair users.

This red bus was made for a boy called Kenny who needed to take an oxygen bottle with him. For the designers, making it attractive was a priority. Sadly, Kenny died before it was delivered.

Demand developed the Green Power car for disabled children from a Dorset school. It has hand controls and special access arrangements so that children can be lifted in and out.

Tilly Griffiths wanted her new ballet frame to blend in with the surroundings. She now joins sister Candice and the rest of the girls in the ballet class.

Demand works from a converted chapel that was part of a psychiatric hospital in Hertfordshire. The design team works on the top floor while the workshops are on the ground floor.
