Thousands are expected at the 25th Computex Taipei technology show until 4 June. It is the world's second most important technology fair after CeBit in Germany, and the largest in Asia. Four full exhibition halls with over 1,329 exhibitors in more than 2,813 booths are stuffed full of the latest technology, including simple to use digital cameras. Among the guests at the show is E2R-H3, a robot developed by Taiwanese firm Micro Star International. The 2.1kg robot claims to be the smallest humanoid robot in the world with digital image and speech processing. It is controlled by Bluetooth. Several product launches and announcements are made at the show, including AMD which introduced its Athlon 64 X2 computer chips, primarily targeted at people who like to play games or multi-task. As well as gadgets, visitors can take a look and get a tour of the insides of the hardware on show. Thousands of personal digital assistants (PDAs), mobiles and computers are on display, including those from Taiwan's BenQ. It aims to secure 10% of China's mobile market in three years, after it was recently given rights to sell mobiles there.
