Mark's existing 6ft 2ins long model of the Titanic used up 320,122 model matchsticks

He has created a variety of other models since starting his hobby in 1998 including this paddle steamer

Mark devotes around three hours a day to his hobby that has also seen him create this steam train

His first ever model was this British Galley complete with rigging. His models are on show at Carmarthen market every Thursday and Friday.

Mark is appealing for people to donate model matchsticks for his new Titanic that will use 5,200,000 of them.
