Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall's eight-day visit to the US is their first joint overseas tour. Soon after arriving in New York they unveiled a dedication stone at a new British Memorial Garden to UK victims of the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. Polls have suggested Americans are largely unmoved by the royal tour. But hundreds turned out to see the couple in New York and Katherine Beaumont, five, gave the duchess flowers. Elaine McGrowder, who grew up in Hampshire, England, held a tea towel marking Charles and Camilla's wedding. "I went to London especially for the wedding, I love them," she said. In the evening, the royal couple attended a reception at the Museum of Modern Art. Singer Sting and his wife Trudie Styler were among guests to mingle with the royals. Yoko Ono, the widow of John Lennon, also attended... ...as did actress Joan Collins and tycoon Donald Trump.
