46664 Arctic was staged on an island near Tromsoe, a city of 62,000 people roughly 220 miles north of the Arctic Circle. It was the fourth such event of its kind and is thought to have attracted around 15,000 people.

In his speech at 46664 Arctic, the 86-year-old - who lost his son to Aids in January - urged the G8 leaders meeting in Scotland in three weeks' time to "open the door to hope and the possibility for a better future."
