More than 2,000 postcards have been donated by artists to this year's Royal College of Art Secret exhibition and sale.

The postcards will be sold for �35 each and all the money raised will go to the Royal College of Art Fine Art Student Award Fund.

The identity of the artist remains unknown until the piece of work is bought and the signature is revealed on the back.

They include original artworks by some of the world's leading contemporary artists such as Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin and Julian Opie.

Fashion designers Hussein Chalayan, Zandra Rhodes and Manolo Blahnik have also contributed.

Some of the contributing artists are students or recent graduates of the Royal College of Art and other leading art colleges.

Art lovers have been known to queue for days to secure their favourite postcard.

The exhibition opens for viewing at the Royal College of Art on 19 November. The sale takes place on the 26-27 November.
