A majority of voters in the UK are supportive of the Chancellor's budget.

An ICM survey for BBC News Online suggests that voters are happy with the benefits of the budget for families but a majority felt that not enough had been done for pensioners.

A detailed breakdown of the survey results can be seen below.

ICM interviewed 1032 adults aged 18+ by telephone and via the Internet between the 8th and 10th March 2001. Interviews were conducted across the country and the results have been weighted to the profile of all adults.
