For the first time in more than a generation, America's young people are experiencing what it is like to be at war.

Our webcast came live from a school that saw in full view what was happening in Manhattan.

What will be the lasting impact on a generation of children growing up in a changed America? Will they feel safe the way their parents' generation did?

We asked young people, their teachers and parents what they think of what has happened and how they view the war in Afghanistan.
