Karadzic opens defence as trial resumes

The former Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic has described the Serb cause in the Bosnian war as "just and holy".

He has been giving evidence during the resumption of his war crimes trial in the Hague.

He denies all the charges against him and has blamed other ethnic groups for starting the war in which more than 100,000 people died.
