Israeli paratroopers at the Western Wall, one of the Judaism's most holy sites in the Old City of Jerusalem, during the Six Day War in June 1967. The war, which began on 5 June 1967, saw Israeli warplanes strike Arab air forces on the ground in a surprise attack amid a rising threat of invasion from Egypt, Syria and Jordan.
