Pakistan: 'Only 1000 militants left'

Pakistani military officials are claiming that as few as 1000 Taliban fighters are left in the Swat Valley.

The army claims it has regained control of the largest town in the area, Mingora.

Major General Athar Abbas said his army had killed over 1300 militants and that many others had deserted.
