The cover of the Daily Sketch announces the safe return of British crime novelist Agatha Christie, who had been missing for eleven days, 15th December 1926.

11 May 1971 the Daily Sketch Britain's oldest tabloid closed. The newspaper which was founded in 1909 achieved a circulation of 1.3 million copies a day at its peak.
