WHO raises swine flu alert level

The World Health Organization (WHO) is warning that a swine flu pandemic is imminent.

It has raised the alert over swine flu to phase five, just one level below that of a full-blown global outbreak. It also wants countries to prepare urgent plans to tackle the outbreak.
