Lahore 'was Pakistan Taleban op'

The chief of the Taleban in Pakistan has told the BBC that his men carried out the attack on a police academy in Lahore in which eight cadets were killed.

Baitullah Mehsud said the assault, and two other smaller attacks in recent days, were in retaliation for American missile strikes against suspected militants in Pakistan's tribal areas.
